All the new features are finally merged in the main development truck, the next release will be officially named 2.0 and the logo contest is going beyond my expectations.
My promise for 2.0: I’ll take the time to document every single script and create some example of command line remastering examples.

I was looking at the Dell Ubuntu PC page and I was counting in my mind… there was something strange about prices, later I found this really good comparison.

I don’t like captcha systems too much, they take you too much time to type unreadable alphanumeric strings, today I found a new project by Carnegie Mellon University: reCAPTCHA and it looks like this:

jQuery, what a great peace of software… adding that to P4A gave us so many possibility we haven’t thought before, today with 4 lines of code I added the ajax file upload feature we were waiting for.
I also added some beautifications to popups and tooltips, but those were only some CSS things.

UCK is approaching the 2.0 milestone with many major improvements, building a new base for all Ubuntu remastering operations of the future.

I thought that this morning just because yesterday I upgraded my brother’s PC from edgy to feisty… half an hour and he had his computer up and running with shining new software without a single problem and without having to configure anything. Nice experience.
